Role Overview
Kiarahub.com is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to serve as a digital defender of our infrastructure. In this role, you will monitor our networks for security threats, investigate anomalies, and implement robust defenses to protect our systems and user data. You will play a critical role in our security operations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and analyze suspicious activity.
- Incident Response: Investigate security breaches or anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and execute rapid containment and remediation procedures.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify system weaknesses and coordinate patching efforts.
- Security Policy: Assist in the development and maintenance of company-wide security protocols, including access management and data protection policies.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into new projects and provide guidance on system hardening.
- Reporting: Document security incidents, prepare technical reports, and provide summaries for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related IT field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), endpoint protection, and OS security (Windows/Linux).
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and threat intelligence.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, calm under pressure, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) or experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
