We are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert who is more than just a gatekeeper. You are a solution-oriented builder who ensures our platform, data, and users remain secure in an evolving threat landscape. You will sit at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and People Ops, fostering a culture of security across the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Vulnerability Management: Systematically identify, evaluate, and prioritize security risks across our AWS/Cloud infrastructure and internal tools.
- Incident Response: Lead the charge in monitoring security alerts and managing the full lifecycle of any security incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and transparent reporting.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps), ensuring our AI-driven features are secure by design.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain and improve our security posture to align with industry standards, managing internal checks and preparing for external audits.
- Security Advocacy: Conduct “Lunch and Learns” and training sessions to empower all Built In employees to be the first line of defense.
- Tooling: Manage and optimize our security stack, including SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years in a dedicated cybersecurity role, preferably within a SaaS or high-growth tech environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of cloud security (AWS/GCP), network protocols, and scripting (Python, SQL, or Bash).
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are highly preferred.
- Problem-Solving: A “Lead with Solutions” mindset—you don’t just find problems; you build the fix.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex security threats in “Plain English” to non-technical stakeholders.
