About the Role
At Built In, we are the hub for the national tech community. We’re looking for a Data Analyst who is obsessed with turning raw data into compelling narratives. You won’t just be “running reports”; you’ll be the engine behind our strategic decisions, helping our product, sales, and marketing teams understand exactly what makes the tech talent marketplace tick.

What You’ll Do
- Drive Insights: Analyze user behavior, engagement trends, and customer health to identify opportunities for platform growth.
- Build & Maintain Dashboards: Design and manage automated BI dashboards (Tableau/Looker) that provide real-time visibility into KPIs for executive leadership.
- Data Integrity: Partner with Data Engineering to ensure our data pipeline is clean, reliable, and scalable.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to Marketing and Product teams, using A/B testing and funnel analysis to optimize the user journey.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Deep-dive into specific business problems, providing actionable recommendations backed by statistical significance.
Who You Are
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within a SaaS or B2B marketplace environment.
- SQL Expert: You can write complex queries, joins, and CTEs in your sleep.
- Visualization Pro: You have a talent for creating clean, intuitive visualizations that tell a clear story.
- Technical Toolkit: * Proficiency in SQL (required).
- Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation is a major plus.
- Knowledge of dbt or data warehousing (Snowflake/BigQuery) is highly preferred.
- Communicator: You can explain the “why” behind the data to non-technical stakeholders without losing them in the weeds.
